In 2018, Rubex International Research and Development Center has tested many plastics, fiberglass, and other materials to produce solid plastic profiles having wood appearance (beams, slabs, sections). They are resistant to swelling, cracking, molds and algae when touched or immersed in water, as well as its ability to resist insects, frosts and snow. The production of these plastic boards may require the development of special machines that bear the strong and violent influence of additives to plastic waste.

Rubex has established production lines for plastic boards from waste generated from Plastic recycling and granulating factory itself that is difficult to convert into granules or pellets for its heavy weight or its high viscosity. Experiments continued through the electromechanical department at Rubex International Research and Development Center. Since 2016, in an attempt to devise a machine that can handle such a difficult material, after five machines failed, the sixth machine succeeded after two years of testing and research. The production is done using an extrusion method where the waste is mixed with other enhancing additives such as coupling and bonding compounds, colors, and reinforcements. The mixture is melted and homogenized into the extruder and the molten plastic is pushed inside square longitudinal molds that are placed in cooled water basins. The products (boards, lumbers beams, angles, sections) are removed from the square longitudinal mold where they are cleaned and kept in packages and then delivered to the company’s stores or the customer directly.

Plastic panels used in floors and ceilings.

Wood looking plastic panels used in the fences of gardens, houses and garages.

Cushions of vehicles (cars, buses and vans), on the side of roads or in stations and parking spaces in supermarkets, clubs and hotels.

Fenders for boats, lanes and small sea boats.

The lumbers used in railway flanges.

Panels used in producing benches and tables of parks, schools and stadiums.

Ramps and slabs used in the construction of bridges and small bridges.

Bars, sections, and panels used in walkways in gardens and parks.

Signs and panels used in the manufacture of boats and sea basins.

The initial production capacity of the factory is 50 tons / month, which is equivalent to 500 sectors weighing 100 kg.
